Our Staff/Instructors

Matt Netterville (circa 2008)
Matt is our Head Instructor who teaches Gi and No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing/striking. He is a state certified physical education teacher and has many years of MMA experience. Matt has competed as an amateur MMA fighter in 2009. He is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and a skilled boxer/striker. His high energy level and professional teaching style compliments our fast paced classes. Matt has been with the Grindhouse for many years and has helped develop many of our programs. He is an integral part of the team. Matt has helped coach many of our students in competitions and MMA fights, helping them bring home the hardware!

James Booth (circa 2014)
James is our Head Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor and coach. He is a Black Belt under Daniel Gracie. James has many accomplishments in his career as a BJJ practitioner and competitor such as placing 3rd in the Brown Belt Ultra Heavy division at the World Championships held in California. He has many other accomplishments including 2nd place at the Boston Open and has defeated the reigning world champion of the Professional Grappling League in 2015. He was also the 2013 Abu Dhabi World Cup Super Heavy Champion at the East Coast trials. James' positive teaching style and interactive classes helps his students develop skills quickly. James continues to be a huge part of the success of the Grindhouse and has helped coach many of our young competitors both on the mats and in the cage.

Sean Brady (circa 2017)
Sean joined our coaching staff in March of 2017. He teaches both GI and No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing/striking classes with us. He is a Northeast Philadelphia native who has been involved in martial arts since a teenager. Sean is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Blackbelt under Daniel Gracie and is currently a Welterweight fighter in the top 10 of the UFC. He made his UFC Debut in Boston and came home with a decisive win over Court McGee. Sean was undefeated as an Amateur MMA fighter, going 5-0 before turning Pro and was the reigning CFFC Welterweight World Champion. Sean’s classes are high energy and fast-paced. Sean is also a huge part of our growth and success and an asset to our coaching staff.

Jerry Bradley
Jerry is our Academy Manager and state licensed MMA Pro Fighter Manager in both Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Jerry brings 15 years of experience managing the Grindhouse as well as managing our fight team. During the day, he is a clinical supervisor working with at-risk youth and has introduced the positive, pro social benefits of training mixed martial arts and fitness to the youth he works with.
